Mid-Autumn Festival

September 24 marked this year's Mid-Autumn Festival in China. Apart from having a mooncake, Chinese people have the custom of admiring the full moon on the day to celebrate the festival. Shared by other Asian countries, like South Korea, Vietnam and Singapore, the festivalhas been celebrated since the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and inscribed in the state-level intangible cultural heritage list.
